This is a Vintage Handmade Navajo Stunning Gem Grade Turquoise Sterling Concho Belt. It measures 37” length (including belt buckle) x 1 5/8” width (leather belt not conchos) and weighs a heavy 428 grams. This beautiful belt is comprised of 10 conchos, each measuring 2” width ( 6” circumference) with gorgeous gem grade Royston turquoise. Each stone is set in a smooth hand-filed bezel and is surrounded by lovely sterling cut-out sun detail. Please note that the second concho from the belt buckle has a hairline crack and a chip out of the turquoise; not certain if it is naturally occurring or man made, but does not compromise the integrity of the overall piece (turquoise still secure in bezel). The belt buckle has a large beautiful oval-shaped Royston turquoise stone, also set in a smooth bezel with geometric cutout detail surrounding the border. The buckle itself measures 3 3/8” length x 2 3/8” width with a buckle pin that can fasten into one of six holes on the leather belt. This is a fabulous handmade Navajo belt (leather replaced) from the late 1940’s/early 1950’s with the natural patina still present on all the sterling.
