A Fine Antique Chinese Kangxi Lotus Patterned Blue & White Charger, of Kangxi Period, with Buddhist Mark, 17th C.-18th C., (1662-1722)
Up for auction is a fine lobed rim Kangxi lotus patterned blue & white charger. The Buddhist mark of the Kangxi period (17th-18th C.) is painted on the back of the charger
.
The large flower in the center is typically known as the Kangxi lotus pattern, which is encircled by a ruyi-border.  Directly encircling the outside of the ruyi-border, there are petal-shaped panels
filled with flower branches
.  The rim is painted with a bigger set of petal-shaped panels much like the previous layer.
This is a high quality charger that would add character to your collection.
Condition Report
There are some mite bite
reparations
on the rim of the charger but they're hard to notice.  The rim repairs are very small and only can be seen when using a magnifier to look for them.
The pictures are enlarged to show the restorations to the rim.  Those aren't major repairs, but just for repairing the mite bites on the rim.
There are also some chips on the foot rim and some brown spots on the charger, but other than that, the charger is in good condition.  The faults on the charger are so minor, they are barely noticeable.  The plate is an
exquisite beauty.
